[Event] [Locked to those who'd be at the Sakaki Family Household]
*"I don't like this feeling."
Yugo muttered to himself as he looked through all of the videos that were in the Sakaki family's collection, right in their living room. Sure, there were a lot of movies, reference duel videos, things like that, but what he was looking for was his dads' duels-- Yuusho's Pro Action Dueling videos from over the years.
He'd avoided thinking about it, since he couldn't afford to fall apart on them; not after Yuto and Yuri had ran away before, not when Yuya had to be in the middle of that, not when dad got injured, not when they had all realized that things just didn't...
Just didn't match up, sometimes. Yeah, Yugo remembered growing up here, in this house, with Yuya, Yuto, and Yuri, but Yugo also remembered growing up in an orphanage with Rin, having to deal with poverty, scraping together everything possible just to build a working D-Wheel, getting chased down by robo-cops. All of that.
And with his dad announcing his official retirement, he'd realized that while he remembers seeing his duels before, he couldn't actually recall them so clearly.
And he didn't like that feeling at all. But what can you do other than try to fix that, right?
"Oh, here they are." He finally found the right collection of videos-- all separated by the years, as he pulled out one from Yuusho's earlier days. He went over to the TV and popped the DVD in, flopping back onto the couch and waiting for it to load up.*

*he'd been keeping on a smile while watching the video, especially seeing Yuusho make his moves, almost like they were magic tricks on a stage, but when Yuto brings that up, his expression got... a little more complicated.*
You too, huh?

Yeah.
I've mostly been ignoring it up until now, but...
*He looked back at the TV, watching Yushou's movements, each one as memorable as the last, so... why couldn't he really recall this?*
... I feel like I should remember his duels more clearly. Instead it just feels like they're some... vague dream.

Dad's duels are kinda like a dream, seeing them like this. So maybe it's not even that weird! *he tries to put a lighter spin onto it, but you and he both know it's a bit hollow*
But... I know that's not what either of us are thinking, here. And... maybe there isn't a whole lot we can do about that.
Other than build a time machine or something, but I think "watching his old duels through recordings" might be a bit easier than that. *not, you know, impossible. just harder than popping in the DVD.*

*Yuto smiles a little. Maybe it was uncomfortable knowing they both couldn't really recall these duels clearly through memory, but it didn't have to stay that way. He liked the idea of watching them through the numerous recordings they had access to now.*
You know what... I think watching these old duels is a really good idea.
I didn't have any major plans for today so... why not make an afternoon of it.

Hey, any idea is as good as the other, right?
How about I go toss in some popcorn while we're at it. Get ourselves really cozy, then! *it goes unstated as he gets up to do that, but the feeling is clear:
Even if they don't have the clear memory of these things, that doesn't mean he can't make this into a good memory.*

*This was something Yuto could absolutely agree on. Plus, with how busy they sometimes were, it wasn't often they got to do things like this together.
With that, he sits back again and continues to watch the duel playing out on the TV while Yugo prepared the popcorn for them both.*
